115th National Convention: Delegates take on sacred responsibility
115th Annual Convention Coverage
US BAHÁ’Í NATIONAL CONVENTION — As the 115th National Bahá’í Convention commences, delegates from across the continental United States are embracing the spiritual atmosphere of the Bahá’í House of Worship and its serene gardens. This sacred location holds profound significance in connection to ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, who personally nurtured the growth and advancement of the American Bahá’í community. His travels to North America spanned 239 days, during which He dedicated significant attention to disseminating the teachings and principles of His Father’s Faith. In 1912, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá laid the foundation-stone of the Mother Temple of the West, signifying its spiritual importance. This was the only temple site personally dedicated by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
Throughout the upcoming days, the assembled delegates at the National Convention have two primary responsibilities: to elect and to recommend, all while embracing a spirit of love and devotion. These tasks are undertaken with the utmost reverence and commitment to their sacred duty.
